Twin Explosion Kills Scores At Prayer Ground in Damaturu

 

A twin bomb explosion have been reported this morning in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.

The explosions are coming on a day when the new Chief of Army Staff, Major General Tukur Buratai declared that he will spend his Sallah celebrations in Damaturu.

The twin blasts, which occured at Phase 1 Eid praying ground was reportedly detonated by a female suicide bomber.

Casualty figures could not be ascertained at the moment as emergency teams are said to be evacuating corpses from the blast scene at the moment.
