Daniel Flores, 22, allegedly slashed a man’s neck and then fled Vic’s Barbershop in Imperial Beach, according to 10News.
The victim, 33-year-old Timothy Vaughn, was “bleeding profusely” from multiple cuts just under his chin, police said.
“It was very painful. He was lying on his back, he had his feet in the air and he had both hands wrapped around his neck,” a witness, James Arnold, told NBC San Diego.
The victim was rushed to UC San Diego Medical Center in critical condition. The injuries are not considered life-threatening.
No motive for the attack has been released, according to the LA Times.
Flores was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
