[PHOTOS] Baby Girl Saved By Truck Driver After Crawling Alongside Highway

A truck driver saved an adorable baby girl after spotting her crawling alongside a highway in Georgia. He immediately pulled over and rescued the girl from any further danger before calling the authorities.

Bryant Collins, an ex-convict, saved a baby girl’s life on the morning of Friday, June 13. The little girl, just 15 months, had crawled over 300 yards through the woods after leaving her unsupervised home. Bryant spotted the baby crawling alongside Highway 72 and immediately pulled over to rescue her before she crawled into traffic.

Truck Driver Saves Baby Girl Crawling Next To Georgia Highway

Bryant Collins is truly a hero.

On Friday, June 13, the truck driver noticed something moving next to Highway 72 in Carlton, Georgia. He was horrified when he realized what it was — a baby crawling.

Bryant quickly pulled over and managed to pick the baby up and bring her back into the safe confines of his car. He soon called the authorities, and kept the baby entertained by playing gospel music on his cell phone until police arrived.

“The baby started crying. so I turned my phone on and let her listen to some gospel music and she calmed right down,” Bryant told 11Alive.

The baby girl not only crawled 300 yards through the woods from her home before arriving at the highway, she may have also fallen down a 15 foot embankment. Thankfully, she only suffered a few minor scrapes and some insect bites, according to the Daily Mail.

Police released the precious little girl into the custody of her mother so that she could receive proper medical treatment after her terrifying morning.
Girl’s Father Arrested For Child Cruelty

The baby girl who crawled alongside the highway had allegedly been left at home with her siblings who were no older than 13.

After the baby was released into her mother’s custody, police arrested her father, Timothy Pickens, for multiple different charges, including child cruelty, reckless conduct, and obstruction.

Even though she was given custody of the baby after the incident, the girl’s mother may face charges as well, reports the Daily Mail.

It is a miracle that Bryant spotted the little girl after so many people passed her unnoticed. This story could have had a much more tragic ending had she not been rescued by Bryant.
