Bobby Shmurda might have extended his stay in jail. The Brooklyn native was recently charged with attempting to smuggle in a “sharpened metal object” last month, which was reportedly brought to the Riker’s Island institution by his alleged girlfriend, Kimberly Rousseau, during a visit.
Now, the “Shmoney Dance” rapper could face an additional seven years behind bars if found guilty for this occurrence, bringing his bid up to 25 years. On top of that, he’s also facing “felony and misdemeanor charges of promoting prison contraband” and “perjury” The New York Times reports. His trial will begin in October.
Earlier this year, Bobby also called in to Hot 97’s morning show where he discussed life behind bars.
