UNILAG Woos 125 First Class Students With Job

 

 Management of the University of La­gos (UNILAG), Akoka, yester­day approved the immedi­ate employment of 125 First Class graduating students for the 2013/2014 session. The university said two best students with CGPA of not less than 4.0 in each of the programmes would also be employed as Graduate As­sistants.

FG warns Buhari against parallel govt

 

President Goodluck Jonathan has kicked against subtle attempts by the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari’s transitional committee to stampede and intimidate his government to dance to its tune ahead of the May 29 handover date.

Jonathan warned the incoming government to avoid creating a parallel government while his government was still on, adding that his magnanimity should not be mistaken for cowardice.

Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan is a Nigerian politician who was elected Senator for the Taraba North constituency of Taraba State, Nigeria in the April 2011 Federal elections.

Igbos living in Lagos were told on Sunday to vote for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Akinwumi Ambode, or else they will die in the lagoon.

A visibly angry Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, in an unconcealed threat, stated that he was not ready to beg the Igbos, but if they repeated what they did on March 28 when they voted for the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), President Goodluck Jonathan, then they should be ready for the consequences.

The funeral preyed was conducted in Dutse central Mosque, and in attendance were the chairman of INEC, Prof. Attahiru Jega, Governor of Jigawa State Gov Sule Lamido and Emir of Dutse among others.

Asari Dokubo Allegedly Issues New Threat

 

Former Militant and Goodluck Jonathan’s homeboy, Asari Dokubo released a new statement through his spokeperson, Comrade Rex Ekiugbo Anighoro.

Asari blamed Yoruba’s and Northerners for GEJ loss in the 2015 elections. And he said they (Niger Delta People) will go back to their roots and fight for their survival.

Care worker Danielle Davis, 24, and her partner, Andrew Smith, 31, from South Wales  welcomed a daughter two months ago - a baby with no eyes. Danielle said she knew there was something horrible wrong with her child because a routine scan when she was pregnant showed her child had a cyst on the brain but she refused to have an abortion. After the child was born, doctors confirmed she had anophthalmia, a birth defect which affects just one in 10,000 babies.
